Founder
Joshua E. Hammichand, FCCA, CIA, CRMA, MBA
Mr. Joshua E. Hammichand is an ACCA Fellow, a Certified Internal Auditor and a Master of Business Administration. He has gained more than 14 years of experience in the accounting, audit and management fields and currently serves as an Executive Director for Royal Guyana Holdings Inc. Additionally Mr. Joshua E. Hammichand has been involved in the Toastmasters International program for more than 8 years during which he served as the Area Director for Guyana. He has a passion for helping others to develop their public speaking and leadership ability. Along that path he is also an Executive Director of the John Maxwell Team serving as a certified speaker, teacher, trainer and coach. Mr. Hammichand also serves on the Management Committee of the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (R3CCI) and as an Executive of the Institute of Internal Auditors Guyana Chapter.
Mark A. Hammichand, FCCA, CPA, CGA, CIA, MBA
Mr. Mark A. Hammichand is an ACCA Fellow, a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified General Accountant, and a Master of Business Administration. In 2009 he was the overall top performer for CAT examinations in Guyana and since then he has gained more than 15 years of experience in the accounting, audit and management fields. Additionally Mr. Mark A. Hammichand has been involved in the Toastmasters International program for more than 8 years and is well equipped to help others to develop their public speaking and leadership ability.
Ms. Shaline Khan, ACCA
Ms. Shaline Khan is an ACCA member with over 15 years of experience in Audit and Finance. Ms. Khan is currently the Audit Manager of the Giftland Group of Companies. In addition to being an advocate for education, she also had the opportunity to work for small based companies abroad.
Ms. Khan believes that ACCA is one of the most discipline driven qualifications. For this same reason she chose to become a lecturer to inspire and support future accountants.
Mr. Siddique Alli Jaipal, ACCA
Mr. Siddique Alli Jaipal is an ACCA member as well as a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). One of Mr. Alli’s most significant academic achievements is being the top ACCA Strategic Business Leader performer for the Caribbean and amongst the top in the world for that exam sitting in March 2021.
Mr. Jaipal has been working in the Accounting Profession for over 10 years and has worked in both the Public and Private sectors.
He has a very diverse Accounting and Management portfolio having elevated himself up the organizational hierarchy through various positions such as ; Management Accountant, Finance Manager and Chief Internal Auditor.
Mr. Jaipal has been an ACCA FIA lecturer since 2019 and is very passionate about helping others hence he’s always willing to provide guidance and support to anyone.
Jonathan A. Patterson, ACCA
Mr. Jonathan Alan Patterson is an ACCA member. He is a young and self-motivated professional with over 7 Years of experience in the Banking Industry. His passions include accounting, banking, business development and performance management.
Having a strong interest in accounting for most of his life, Mr. Patterson joined the team at Citizens Bank Guyana Inc. in 2014 as an Internal Audit Assistant and gradually moved up the ranks to an Internal Audit Supervisor, within 3 years. Prior to joining Citizens Bank Guyana Inc. Mr. Patterson completed his Advanced Secondary Education in Accounting & Business Studies, and spent a considerable amount of time contributing to the development of many private firms’ accounting departments. He also served as the Group Internal Auditor for Demerara Distillers Limited and is now the Finance manager at Trust Company Guyana Ltd.
Mr. Patterson enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and taking a brisk jog in the park, in-between times when he is not busy studying or preparing for exams. He believes in the importance of taking a break now and then to refocus and revitalize.
Upon starting ACCA, Mr. Patterson vigorously pursued the elements with absolute passion, focus, and hard work. After his successful completion of ACCA, he now intends on using his skills harnessed throughout this period, to develop his country’s newfound oil and gas sector and inspire future accountancy students through lecturing and mentorship.

Mr. Damien Sooklall, ACCA, BSc, MSc
Mr. Damien Sooklall is currently an Accountant and is the holder of a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of London International Programmes and the holder of a Master of Science in Finance from Nottingham Trent University. Additionally, Mr. Sooklall is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He has worked for small sized companies abroad as well as for local large scale companies such as Demerara Bank Limited and Demerara Distillers Limited as an Internal Auditor and Business Analyst. He is also passionate about investing in the stock market.

Mrs. Radha Hammichand - Administrative Manager
Mrs. Radha Hammichand is a kindhearted and hardworking individual that continuously seeks self development. After completing her course in Supervisory Management from University of Guyana (IDCE) she completed the Microsoft Office Specialist and Computerized Accounting Courses at Global Technology. Later she completed a Diploma in Bookkeeping from Penn Foster College and currently she is pursuing the ACCA qualification.
Her aim is to ensure you receive the necessary guidance and support as you pursue your studies with MJM Accounting and Management institute.
